In order to lessen this burden, IDFC FIRST Bank launched the need-based IDFC FIRST Bank Engineering Scholarship Program 2026–30, which offers financial assistance to worthy first-year engineering students from low-income families.

For the duration of their four-year B.E. or B.Tech degree, selected scholars may be eligible for financial aid of up to INR 1 lakh annually. The scholarship helps students concentrate on their studies, strive for academic achievement, and confidently approach their professional goals by easing the financial burden of engineering school.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be Indian citizens.
• Open to students currently enrolled in the first year (academic year 2026-27) of their B.Tech or B.E. program.
• Candidates must have secured admission to one of the FIRST IMPACT empanelled colleges (click here to refer to the list of eligible colleges).
• The gross annual family income from all sources must be less than or equal to INR 6 lakh.
• Applicants must have a valid mobile number linked to their Aadhaar number.
• IDFC FIRST Bank employees and their family members are not eligible to apply.

Note:

Students pursuing a diploma course, part-time program, distance learning, dual degree course in engineering, or student exchange programs are not eligible.

Benefits

Selected students will receive a scholarship of INR 1,00,000 per year for up to four years.

Note:

• The scholarship covers the actual annual fee or INR 1,00,000 per year, whichever is lower.
• Continuity of the scholarship is subject to meeting the renewal criteria.

2. Copy of fee receipt

• Residence Proof / Age Proof:

1. Birth Certificate / 10th Passing Certificate / Passport

• Income Proof (anyone)

2. 143(1) Document
3. In case there is no earning member, a valid no-income certificate issued by a competent government authority is mandatory.
