Eligibility Criteria

Nationality
The applicant for applying for the exam can be:
- A Citizen of India
- The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who permanently settled in India before January 1, 1962
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia, intending to reside in India permanently.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India.
- When enrolling for the IBPS Bank-PO exam, applicants must indicate the percentage of marks they received in their graduation and have a current mark sheet or degree certificate attesting to their graduate status on the day of registration.
Computer Literacy:
Proficiency in computer systems is essential both for the job and for taking the IBPS PO exam, which is conducted online.

IBPS PO Exam Number of Attempts
As long as you fulfill the qualifying requirements, especially the age requirement, there is no set limit on how many times you can take the IBPS PO Exam. This implies that you are allowed to retake the test until you reach the maximum age.
Selection Process
The IBPS PO recruitment process consists of three stages:
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination
Candidates must qualify the sectional and overall cutoff to be shortlisted for the Mains Examination.
Stage 2: Main Examination
The Mains Exam carries significant weight in the final selection process and includes both objective and descriptive tests.
Stage 3: Interview
Candidates qualifying the Mains Exam are called for the Interview round conducted by participating banks. The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains Examination and Interview.

IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern
English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning ability are the three areas that make up the preliminary exam. Over the course of 60 minutes, 100 questions totaling 100 marks are asked. For every incorrect attempt, a negative marking of -0.25 is subtracted.

IBPS PO Personality Test + Interview (Final Stage)
The purpose of the personality test is to evaluate a candidate's leadership abilities, decision-making capacity, communication skills, behavioral tendencies, and appropriateness for a position in the banking industry. Those who pass the personality test will be invited to the interview, which is worth 100 points. Candidates' final exam score is determined by IBPS using an 80:20 weighting of marks for the main exam and interview, respectively.
Salary
Selected applicants will be assigned to participating public sector banks as probationary officers. IBPS POs are now paid between ₹48,480 and ₹85,920, with additional benefits like medical coverage, DA, HRA, and CCA.
