About The Team

For the Transaction Risk Management Team in Bangalore, Amazon India is looking for committed, industrious, analytical individuals with a track record of success and results-driven thinking. Candidates will be in charge of a variety of tasks pertaining to the analysis and mitigation of online e-commerce risk. The best candidates will have prior expertise with trust and safety, have worked in the e-commerce payments industry, and have thrived in a customer-focused environment. Every applicant will possess analytical skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced team setting.

These investigators work under the manager's extremely minimal supervision and rely on their superb judgment to plan and achieve their goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities on an individual basis are utilized to verify clients and intricate transactions. It is anticipated that almost all decisions would be made autonomously, with little to no direction, and with a high degree of accuracy.

To achieve objectives, the Transaction Risk Investigator will need to communicate verbally and in writing with department management, risk analysts, risk engineers, other business partners, and outside parties on a regular basis. They could also have to make phone calls to clients. Along with the total contribution to the department's growth, productivity and quality control will be assessed.

Key job responsibilities

• Researches and evaluates facts surrounding seller transactions
• Takes appropriate action on investigated transactions based on established standard operation procedure and tools
• Documents their actions by providing detailed annotations
• Communicates with external customers via phone or email during the investigation process
• Communicates with internal customers and peers in person, via email, annotations and phone during and following the investigation process
• Understand the issue and make best use of the available resources to resolve it
• Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information to the relevant owners/ teams according to processes and standard
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Understand performance metrics to create analysis for driving business goals
• Meet predetermined and assigned productivity targets and quality standards
