The upGrad School of Technology (uGSOT) is offering the uGSOT Scholarship Program 2026 to students in India who want to study a B.E. or B.Tech in computer science with an emphasis on the future, such GenAI & ML, Quantum Computing, or Full Stack Development.

The program's goal is to assist PCM/PCMB students who passed the Class 12 exam by providing various scholarships based on their overall profile score, which takes into account their performance on the uGSOT Scholarship Test (uGNET), their performance in the personal discussion, their extracurricular and co-curricular activities, and their results on the engineering entrance exam (if they took it). Scholarships up to 100% of the tuition cost may be available to students who meet the requirements listed above. Eligibility

• Open to PAN India students planning to pursue B.E/B.Tech program in Computer Science in any of the following specialisations:

1. GenAI & ML
2. Quantum Computing
3. Full Stack Development

• Applicants must have passed Class 12 in the Science stream with PCM/PCMB.
• Students must have passed Class 12 in the academic year 2025 or 2026.
• Applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in Class 12.

Note:

• The uGNET exam is scheduled for 10th June 2026 and will subsequently be conducted every Saturday.
• Applicants must be below 20 years of age at the time of admission.

uGNET exam fee discount Coupons

Students will receive discount coupons for the uGNET exam based on the following criteria:

100% Waiver

• For students who have secured 90% or above marks in Class 12 and have an annual family income of less than INR 2.5 lakh.

75% Waiver

• For students who have secured between 80% and 90% marks in Class 12 and have an annual family income between INR 2.5 lakh and INR 5 lakh.

50% Waiver

• For students who have secured between 70% and 80% marks in Class 12 and have an annual family income of more than INR 5 lakh.

No Waiver

• For students who have secured less than 70% marks in Class 12.

Scholarships opportunity upon admission

Students qualifying the uGNET exam and securing their admission seat will become eligible for scholarships offered by upGrad School of Technology covering up to 100% of the tuition fee based on their overall profile score as mentioned below.

Merit-Based Scholarship	Awarded to students who demonstrate strong academic or entrepreneurial performance. This includes performance in board examinations, competitive entrance examinations, olympiads, hackathons, and extracurricular achievements.
Girls in Tech Scholarship	Awarded to eligible female students who meet the prescribed entry criteria. This scholarship is intended to promote gender inclusivity and equal access to education.
Need-Based Scholarship	Awarded to students from economically weaker sections who meet the prescribed income criteria. This scholarship is intended to support students who may face financial barriers to higher education.
Ronnie Screwvala Scholarship for Tech Innovators	A special scholarship for students who demonstrate outstanding potential in technology and innovation. This scholarship is applicable for the first academic year only.
Defence Scholarship	Awarded to students whose parent (father or mother) or sibling (brother) is serving or has served in the Indian Defence Forces. This scholarship is applicable for all four years of the program and is added on top of the Academic or Startup scholarship the student qualifies for. It is subject to verification of relevant defence service documents.

Note: The specific eligibility criteria, applicable scholarship amounts, and selection process for each type shall be communicated by the Admissions Team at the time of admission.
