- Minimum 10+2/XII or its equivalent.
- Proficiency in computer type speed at 35 w.p.m. in English OR 30 w.p.m. in Hindi. (35 w.p.m./30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

- Widows, Divorced Women, and Women Judicially separated from Husbands (not re-married): Up to 35 years (up to 40 years for SC members). Documentary evidence is required.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years (15 years for SC, 13 years for OBC), subject to the condition that the maximum age does not exceed 56 years. This relaxation is admissible even if the post is not reserved for PwBDs, provided the post is identified as suitable and the disability is a minimum of 40%.
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India/CSIR Instructions.
- Departmental Candidates (CSIR Employees): No age limit, provided they possess the prescribed qualifications.
- No age relaxation for applicants under employment of Central Government/State Govt. / Autonomous Bodies (unless applying through proper channel as CSIR employees).

- This test will be qualifying in nature.
- Candidates must achieve the prescribed speed: 35 w.p.m. in English OR 30 w.p.m. in Hindi.
- The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in Paper II.
- Only candidates who qualify the proficiency test in computer typing will be included in the merit list.
- In case of a tie in marks from the written examination, a specific methodology will be followed (e.g., candidate with lesser negative marks, older candidate, candidate acquiring essential degree earlier, alphabetical order of first names).

- Ensure your prescribed educational qualifications were obtained from a recognized University/Institution/Board, and the final result was declared on or before May 31, 2025.
- If your certificates are in a language other than Hindi or English, submit a duly attested transcript.
- Convert CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades to percentages as per your University/Institute’s formula.
- Candidates employed in Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies should apply through the proper channel or submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
- Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will be rejected.
- General/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹500/- (Non-refundable).
- SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees/Ex-Servicemen: Exempted from payment of application fee.
- Payment must be made online. No other mode of payment (DD, Challan, Postal Orders, etc.) will be accepted.
