Eligibility

Nationality
A candidate must be one of the following:
- A Citizen of India, or
- A Subject of Nepal, or
- A Subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma (Myanmar), Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Qualification
Candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognised University or an equivalent qualification. The degree should be completed with the result declared before the eligibility date. Educational certificates will be verified during document verification.
Computer Literacy
Candidates must possess computer abilities, as evidenced by a degree, certificate, or certification, or they must have studied computer and information technology in school or college. It is recommended if you speak the official language of the state or UT where you are applying. A minimum of 15 years of service and the Army Special Certificate of Education, or its equivalent from the Navy or Air Force, are prerequisites for ex-servicemen who do not meet these requirements.
Application Fee
The amount to be paid for the IBPS Clerk Application form is Rs. 850/- for General & Others and Rs. 175/- for SC/ST/PwD categories. The application fee can be paid by internet banking, Debit/Credit Card, BHIM UPI, Mastercard, etc. Note that this fee is non-refundable.
Selection Process
To get selected for the Clerk/Customer Service Associate post, candidates will have to go through Prelims and Mains exam stages:
Stage 1: Preliminary exam
The Preliminary Exam is the first stage of the selection process and is qualifying in nature. Candidates who secure the required sectional and overall cut-off marks are shortlisted for the Mains examination.
Stage 2: Mains exam
The Mains Examination pattern has been revised for this year is the most important stage, as the final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in this exam.
Local Language Test (Qualifying)
The Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT) must be taken by candidates who have been shortlisted based on their Mains performance. This exam assesses the candidate's proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the native tongue of the state or Union Territory for which they have applied. According to IBPS standards, candidates who studied the designated local language in Classes 10 or 12 may be excused from taking the LPT.
