Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification and age requirements prescribed in the notification.
Educational Qualification: The required qualification varies according to the post.
Assistant / Upper Division Clerk (Post No. 1 & 5)
- Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10 from a recognised university.
- Proficiency in computer usage.
- One year of work experience.
Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer (Post No. 2, 4 & 6)
- Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10, or
- Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10.
- English stenography speed of 60 words per minute.
- Proficiency in computer usage.
- One year of relevant work experience.
Age Limit: Applicants must satisfy the prescribed age criteria.
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories according to Government of India rules
Selection Process
The selection process consists of a Written Test/Computer-Based Test and Skill Test. Candidates are shortlisted for the skill test based on their performance in the written examination. The selection process for ISRO Recruitment 2026 consists of the following stages:
Written Test: The written test will be a 150-minute objective-style paper. 50% of UR candidates and 40% of candidates from reserved categories must meet the qualifying requirements in order to be considered for announced reserved openings.Subject to the minimum number indicated in the advertisement, candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in a maximum 1:5 ratio against the category-wise openings.
Skill Test: A computer literacy test is part of the skill test for Assistant/UDC positions. In comparison to announced reserved positions, the qualifying scores are 50% for candidates in the reserved category and 60% for UR candidates.
For JPA/Stenographer posts, the skill test consists of:
- Computer Literacy Test
- Stenography Test
The fee must be paid online through the Bharatkosh e-Payment Gateway using Internet Banking, UPI or a domestic debit card.

Candidates who appear for the Written Test/CBT will receive a refund of the processing fee. Women, SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates eligible for fee exemption will get the full processing fee refunded, while all other candidates will receive a refund after deducting the Rs 100 application fee.
Salary Structure
Under Pay Matrix Level 4, candidates hired through ISRO Recruitment 2026 will begin with a basic salary of ₹25,500 per month. They will be qualified for Central Government benefits, such as Transport Allowance (TA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Dearness Allowance (DA), in addition to their base pay.
A number of government benefits, such as medical facilities, subsidized canteen services, staff quarters (subject to availability), Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Group Insurance, House Building Advance, and other admissible allowances, will be awarded to selected candidates in addition to basic pay, creating an alluring total compensation package.
